I absolutely love the Sun Sense Bronze Shield!
It has a beautiful consistency, neither thick nor runny. My skin is left feeling soft and moisturised.
The lotion looks initially dark, but is a nice natural colour when absorbed into the skin. After using it for quite a while, my skin has changed colour but it looks normal, not orangey.
I love how there is just the hint of a fragrance – the smell is not strong and does not smell at all like a sunscreen.
Well done on developing a great product!

I have had no problems with it to date but will admit due to it still being cooler weather have not used it to its full capacity as yet.

I’ve never used a tinted sunscreen, and I doubt if I ever will. I’ve tried the product on the back of my hands only, as I noticed that it seems to stain certain fabrics. That puts me off using a tinted sunscreen for a start.
This is a pleasant feeling, lightly scented product, and it’s very gentle on my sensitive skin. But, for me personally, the whole point of sunscreen is to protect from the sun (so you DON’T go brown).
I’d like to try a non-tinted sunscreen – in warmer months – so that I can test it out fully and give a more comprehensive review.
I like the product – but not the colour.

I have extremely sensitive skin (especially on my face) and have found that this product does not cause me any irritations at all. I love the colour and the texture also. It makes my skin look moisturised with a lovely light tan. I highly recommend this product.

I love this product!!!!! I normally use a foundation with sunscreen in it, but with this product I have the benefit of the sunscreen but without the caked on effect of the foundation. It has given me a really nice even and smooth tanned look. I love it!!!!!!!!!

It has been a less than perfect time to try Sun Sense Bronze Shield, as it has been winter, therefore cold, and one wears a lot of clothes. I used it for the first time, and immediately covered up. It left residue on my clothes, although the marks did come out.
The second time I was able to wear shorts and a shirt. The instant tan was great. Looked very natural, once rubbed in. I still could feel that I had it on throughout the day, but by night, I couldn’t feel any different as though I didn’t have it on. I felt moisturised completely.
Cheers, Jo

I was worried when I realised the strong colour of Bronze Shield, but relaxed after applying it to winter white skin. It went on easily and was forgiving unlike other tanning moisturisers I have used. Being frangrance-free was a benefit as I have stopped using other products as the strong smell was overpowering. I am very careful what I apply to my face but was happy with the result. It did stain the top I accidently touched in applying. l will happily continue using Bronze Shield but keep it away from good clothes for 15 minutes.

Unfortunately it’s been far too cold and miserable in the Southern states to give this product a proper test-run. I can’t comment on its ability to protect from the sun’s rays and whether it streaks on the legs or arms from perspiration on a hot day – which are the 2 things I’d really like to comment on! I can say that it’s a lovely colour, smells nice and comes from a company whose products I know, use and love already! Don’t use when you’re wearing white or very pale coloured clothing though…

As the weather has been so cold and wet I haven’t had a chance to use it that often. But when I have the colour is great! I am very fair skinned and the colour looks very natural. I love that it has no frangrance. I have sensitive skin and my skin felt great!!! Very happy with it! Was very worried about staining my clothes so have been very careful
Looking forward to some sun shine and showing off my legs with Bronze Shield!!!

I liked the consistancy, it rubbed in really well and was blendable so it didnt leave streaks. The colour was natural looking, no too dark or orangey. I liked the product but would rub it in before i got dressed and leave 10 minutes for it to dry before dressing.

Same as everyone else, the weather has not been great to really try it out, so I only tried it on my arms. The colour looked good, but it washes off so easily I’m concerned that when the weather does finally warm up that sweating and swimming may cause streaking. It doesn’t state in the instructions that it builds a tan like other products so I am assuming that it just gives colour until you wash it off, and I found that for about half an hour after I applied it, it still felt tacky on my skin and when I rubbed it, it came off onto my fingers. Will try it out again as the weather warms up and see how it goes as a sunscreen.

I liked the fact that it was very easy to rub in and not streaky at all, and you could see the colour straight away.
Unfortunately, the weather in Melb has not been great, so I have not yet been able to apply it, and then go out in the sun to see what additional coverage it provides, or how it goes in the sun/heat.

I don’t really like the colour of the cream, too dark for my skin, however, smelt nice & easy to apply. Summer isn’t here yet, so not wearing sunscreen as yet, will try again in a couple of weeks with warmer weather.

This is the first time i tried a sun tan product. i found the tanning effect is quite good, but the product is quite runny. so maybe put it in a roll on bottle might work better. however it is still quite cold so i haven’t tried it on fully yet.

I love the natural look of the colour. I also found it very easy to apply and not at all greasy. It is however, still a little cold and I have not used it as often as I would like. Will keep persisting once the weather warms up.

Overall it is a great product except for the fact that it gets all over your clothes when and after you apply it. Nice smell and colour and easy to apply, just a shame about the rubbing off all over your clothes

I will agree with most of the comments already posted. I think it is a great product, very easy to apply and doesn’t streak or look “fake tan-ish”. My concerns were also the way it came off so easily in the shower making me worried about how stupid you would look at the pool or beach – going into the water tanned and coming out white!
It was also a pain that my sock tops, bra straps and knickers were stained – not a good look. If you can sort these problems out, I think you are onto a definite winner. Thank you for letting me try it out.

I really enjoyed this product. If the issue with the staining of the bra and undies is sorted out i would definately buy it. I loved the colour it gave me and how easy it was to apply. I liked how you could see it immediately as you rubbed it in. I apprieciate the opportunity to test it out, thanks.

II agree also with what has been said about the colour on Underwear etc.Ii found on me older skin that it felt a little dry.I will definitlty use it if wearing shorts etc.
Thankyou for sending me the product.

It was my first time to use a tinted sunscreen and wasn’t really sure if it will go well with me since I am already on the darker skin tone. I was very happy with it! The look was very natural but you just have to make sure you spread it well and check out for those spaces in between the fingers because they can leave a darker tint in between.
My sister in law whose skin is really white, had an instant color and loved it as well!
Overall, great product…as with anything tinted, you just have to watch out for staining

Christine:
Thank you for contacting us about your experience with Sunsense Bronze
Shield. It is great to hear that you like the product, but I am sorry you
have broken out in a rash. Sunsense Bronze Shield is a sunscreen, so if
the rash is a result of using the product, it is possible that you are
sensitive to one of the actives or preservatives. For now, I would
suggest that you stop using the product and let your skin get better
completely. Once you are happy with the condition of your skin, try using
a small amount of the product again and see if you get the same reaction.
If you do, it would be best to stop using the product, and consider
talking to a dermatologist about patch testing to help you identify
exactly which ingredient may be causing the rash.

I love it heaps. It gives me a nice, even and natural glowing tan. It feels great on the skin as well. I sometimes apply it onto my face and then put some foundtation over the top, it looks great. My boyfriend was amazed to see me the first time applied it, he thought I devolped a great sun tan. I just go with it…

I love this product its like having the sunshine with you all the time and it’s great for sensitive skin as well. Nice colour, if you have trouble with stains on clothes then let the product dry for at least 15 minutes prior to dressing and perhaps use a little less, it works for me. Overall I think this is a very good self tanning system and a good moisturizer.
