I have been trialing Hairscience Purifying Shampoo and I am extremely pleased with this product. A first I thought it was a bit runny, soon got used to this. My problem hair feels light & clean, my itchy scalp is no more. My curls have lifted and my hair loss has lessened. At work today someone asked what I had done with my hair as it was looking good. What more can I say – I love it.

I have been trialing the Hairscience Purifying Shampoo over the past 10dys and Im really happy with the result. I have a very sensitive scalp and find most shampoos make my head really itchy after a few days continuous use. This product has been fantastic. I love the scent, the consistancy is quite runny, but you do get used to not pouring it out everywhere after a couple of uses.
Highly recommend!

It is oh so soothing and gentle to my stressed and tired locks. Gentle, but still cleans my hair really well. I find that my hair is less oily after every wash.

I found it very good, my hair was a lot less oily and looked healther. I used a small amount and it lather up a lot. I did not use any conditioner and you could tell my hair was stiff and very knotted.I used it everyday for 4 days and then miss a day and my hair looked great no oil and very clean and healthly looking.

Firstly, thank you to Ego Every Day for the opportunity to review this product. It was tested on my long, dry, frizzy hair in the hope that it would help tame the flyaway strands and untangle the knots. I have already tried the Hairscience Nourishing shampoo and conditioner combination with some success so I was hopeful of a similar result

The product comes in a handy sized bottle with no fancy trimmings. The 250 ml contents were plenty for a single person, but probably too small for a family. What I did find enticing on the bottle was the statement ìsoap freeî as I also get itchiness along the edge of my scalp and soap tends to be drying.

This is not a ìnaturalî product, and the ingredients outlined on the bottle were clearly manufactured in a laboratory. However, Iím happy to leave my hair in the hands of chemists provided the shampoo works well for my hair.

The instructions are relatively fuss free: work the shampoo into lather, use with the matching conditioner and keep out of eyes. Except that in this case, I baulked at using the recommended conditioner (Hairscience Volumising Conditioner) as my hair already has too much volume. Instead, I stuck with the Nourishing Conditioner. The ingredients in the two conditioners appeared to be very similar. My other concern was that that the shampoo is recommended for oily hair, whereas my hair is dry.

The shampoo flowed freely out of the bottle and had a mild sweet scent that would be suitable for the whole family. The product did not lather easily, and I found I had to apply some more after rinsing it off in order to get a good lather. I also found my hair became immediately ìsqueakyî clean, and that the shampoo did, indeed, soak up all the oil from my hair. Disappointingly, when I put my comb through my wet hair, it was knotty and it remained that way after drying. My scalp did, however, become less itchy, so the shampoo appeared to have a ìbalancingî effect on my scalp.

On following washes, I used the same shampoo and conditioner combination, but also added a leave in conditioner to take out the knots. This was much more successful. My hair remained soft and with minimal knots until the next wash.

I think this shampoo would work like a dream on oily hair, but with dry hair a lot more conditioning is required. It is suitable for a sensitive scalp and does not cause any itchiness. For my own hair, I prefer the nourishing shampoo and will continue to use that.

I have used the Purifying Shampoo over the last couple of weeks and have found it really good. I have used Hairscience products before and have always been happy with the results.

My hair is mid length and quite heavily coloured so anything that helps my hair stay healthy, sof and manageable whilst dealing with a VERY sensative scalp gets a tick from me.

Loved this product!
I have lots of long, thick hair and this shampoo worked wonders on it. No frizz or fly aways instead soft, calmed hair that looked shiny and healthy.

- only probleM; it was a little squeaky as my hair is more dry than oily.
perfect for people with oilier hair.

Nice shampoo product. Surprised at amount of lather considering it is soap free. I have long thick hair with a mind of its own and found it feeling lovely and clean after using the shampoo but I still needed to follow up with a conditioner. My partner has a sensitive scalp that feels itchy and dry with many products. He loved the shampoo without needing conditioner and it looked nice and healthy following shampooing.

I have slightly unruly hair that I am currently trying to grow (from a short pixie crop) I have to say Hairscience purifying shampoo has been a godsend! My hair feels and looks fantastic and it has helped tame the would be frizz! The sense that I am using something which is less harmful and catered towards sensitive skin makes it all the better, the only problem…the bottle size now that my family has also decided to adopt it!

have been trialing the Hairscience Purifying Shampoo over the past week and am happy with the product. I am very sensitive to a lot of perfumes used in shampoo and the scent was lovely and not overpowering. I did not expect it to be so runny, but got used to it with subsequent washes. My hair felt great and had ‘body’! It would have been good to try a matching conditioner as I still had to use conditioner as I have long hair.

I lIke the shampoo. Initially surprised with the consistency; however soon overcame that little hiccup. The aroma is very pleasant; not overpowering and relaxing (I’m into candles etc and find aroma’s can set a mood). Have never been keen on 2 in 1′s but this is very mild. Still used conditioner to follow up with but overall, would be happy to purchase the Hairscience Purifying Shampoo and Conditioner when available.

I love the smell when I wash my hair. My hair feels smooth and silky. I will definitely suggest to my friends to give it a go. I still have to use conditioner as usaul and would definitely try a conditioner out as well.

I have been using the ego shampoo over the last 2 weeks. I have home dyed red hair and have found in the past that some brands of shampoo and conditioner wash the colour out from my hair faster then others.. With ego purifying shampoo I’ve noticed that my hair looks shiny healthy and the colour really comes through. Not only does it look really nice and healthy but its soft and manageable too. And my scalp which sometimes is dry and flaky in the winter months has not been a problem at all, maybe even better actually. I would definitely consider using the shampoo and conditioner in the future. Thankyou for letting me try it :)

I gave this shampoo to my husband who has fine oily hair. He has been using it for a week and is not that happy about it. It cleans great and smells great but he says for a man his hair is far to puffy after washing and he does not like that much, otherwise it’s a good product.

I tryed to use more shampoo to se how it would go and comb my hair with my finger’s in the shower, after I found my hair very soft and not so knotted, it was great my hair is much healther and cleaner with no oily scalp and that after only 2 weeks of using the shampoo on my thin long oily scalp hair. THANK-YOU.

I really liked the shampoo, although I would have liked to use it along with the conditioner to see the overall effects. I liked the fragrance, and didn’;t feel that I needed to use as much shampoo as I have done with other brands. It left my hair feeling soft, and smoothe, and I would definitely consider buying it.

My husband and I both used this shampoo. I was pleasantly surprised by the smell and the feel of my hair after using the shampoo considering it is soap free. Most other products like this leave your hair not as soft and don’t smell very pleasant. My husband found it left his hair too soft so just stood on end. I’m now wondering what the conditioner would be like. I’ll be recommending it to my sister in-law and mother in-law, who both have psoriasis on their scalp.

The first time I used the Hairscience purifying shampoo I used a lot because it was a little bit runnier than what I have been using. I have been really surprised at how my hair has been a lot easier to manage considering my hair is permed and coloured, and it is recomended for oily and fine hair! My hair is much softer now and I like the fact that it’s soap free! Thankyou for the trial!

I loved how the shampoo made my hair feel nice and soft and gave it a bit of volume, however it made my scalp very dry and itchy so I stopped using it, after persisting with it for 9 days (I do have very sensitive skin). I also used the shampoo on my 3 year old daughter and it has been great for her, no more tangles and she loves the smell. Thank you for letting us participate in your trial.

I have fine, curly hair and love to add volume to boost the curls. I love that Hairscience Purifying Shampoo is gentle enough to use on my hair but also very effective in restoring balance and shine. I also love that it’s soap free and pH balanced. It also isn’t heavily fragranced which is kind to the nose! The consistency and texture is a little different to what I am used to – a little runny – but you quickly get used to this. I like that it doesn’t weigh my hair down however not sure that it really adds volume. Perhaps with subsequent usage, this will beocme more evident. Overall, Hairscience Purifying Shampoo is definitely a product I would recommend to anyone with fine, oily hair. Thanks Ego!

I loved the shampoo, it left my hair feeling clean, soft and healthy.
Hubby grabbed it while in the shower and was really pleased with how he reacted to it as he has problems with a very sensitive scalp and allergies.
This shampoo was very gentle on his scalp.
Overall a A1 product.
